Two new books added to Selected Criticism

Kevin has added two U of Iowa Press publications to the "Books" section of Selected Criticism at https://whitmanarchive.org/commentary/selected-criticism: Caterina Bernardini's Transnational Modernity and the Italian Reinvention of Walt Whitman, 1870–1945 and David Grant's "The Disenthralled Hosts of Freedom:" Party Prophecy in the Antebellum Editions of Leaves of Grass.

Character encoding error in "Whitman Making Books/Books Making Whitman"

Ken spotted an unusual character showing as the separator between dates in a reference to the third edition of Leaves of Grass. I have corrected this to an en-dash.

Two typo corrections in criticism section

Ken noticed that the encyclopedia entry for "A Broadway Pageant" had misspelled the title as "A Broadway Pagaent" and that an "s" was missing from the end of Fredson Bowers's name in a paragraph of Hershel Parker's "The Real 'Live Oak, with Moss': Straight Talk about Whitman's 'Gay Manifesto'" (anc.00157). These typos are now corrected.

Typos corrected in two critical essays

I noticed a superfluous comma in Alan Helms's essay "Whitman's 'Live Oak with Moss'"; in Hershel Parker's essay "The Real 'Live Oak, with Moss': Straight Talk about Whitman's 'Gay Manifesto'," I noticed that an "o" had been substituted for a "0"; in the same essay, Ken noticed that two words had been omitted. Appropriate corrections have been made.

Corrected placement of closing hi tag in Burroughs's Notes on Walt Whitman

Ken noticed that a stretch of text was erroneously being displayed in a small font. I have corrected the problem by closing the tag that creates smallcaps earlier, so that only the title Leaves of Grass is affected.

Matt Miller's Collage of Myself added to Criticism

Matt obtained from U of Nebraska Press the PDF of his book and their permission to publish it, so I have added a link to it from the current criticism page.
