Two typos corrected in With Walt Whitman in Camden

I noticed a typo in the entry for 1889-01-01 (vol. 3, p. 439) and Ed noticed one in the entry for 1888-06-21 (vol. 1, p. 364). I have corrected both.

Correction to heading for entry in With Walt Whitman in Camden

Ed noticed that the link to the single-entry page for September 18, 1891 (https://whitmanarchive.org/criticism/disciples/traubel/WWWiC/8/med.00008.220.html) had become garbled, so I have corrected it. The corresponding heading in the file for the entirety of volume 8 needed no change.

Corrected typo in v. 3 of With Walt Whitman in Camden

I happened to notice, while reading the entry for Wednesday, November 14, 1888, that the word "the" was missing from our transcription of the sentence "This is the very centre, circumference, umbillicus, of my whole career." I have supplied the missing word (in both the whole-volume and dated-entry transcriptions).

Traubel volumes updated to TEI P5

We have updated the Archive versions of Horace Traubel's With Walt Whitman in Camden (9 vols.) to the most recent (P5) version of TEI.  In the course of this update, we made various adjustments to eliminate extra space in the display and we added date ranges to the table of contents.  We have also corrected some typos.

Correction to title page of With Walt Whitman in Camden, vol. 3

The title page of volume 3 of With Walt Whitman in Camden had two date ranges, one correct and one apparently copied over from the transcription of volume 1. I've removed the latter.

We have reproofed and made a series of updates to Volume 1 of Horace Traubel’s With Walt Whitman in Camden, including adjustments to spacing, correction of typos, and addition of a list of illustrations. We have also clarified the nature of the notes in this volume by describing them as “indexical notes.”

Updated image in Traubel volume 1

Figure 24 in volume 1 of With Walt Whitman in Camden (between pages 334 and 335) was displaying incorrectly as a duplicate of figure 23, a picture of Anne Gilchrist.  I have replaced this duplicate with the correct image for figure 24, a photograph of Walt Whitman from about 1862.
