 I have updated the staff page to reflect the staff for the 2021 fall semester, as well as updated entries of current staff members.

Missing text restored to transcription of 1867 Leaves of Grass

Archive user Kenneth Sherwood pointed out that our transcription of p. 37 of the 1867 edition of Leaves lacked several words. As it happens, I recognize this as a long-standing problem that originally occurred c. 2000, when a Python programmer created a script to help us automate line-end tagging but that had the unintended side-effect of deleting any text that occurred between a mid-line hyphen and a line-end hyphen. Other occurrences were corrected at the time, but this one obviously got missed. The words have now been restored to the transcription.

Typos corrected in two critical essays

I noticed a superfluous comma in Alan Helms's essay "Whitman's 'Live Oak with Moss'"; in Hershel Parker's essay "The Real 'Live Oak, with Moss': Straight Talk about Whitman's 'Gay Manifesto'," I noticed that an "o" had been substituted for a "0"; in the same essay, Ken noticed that two words had been omitted. Appropriate corrections have been made.

Link to Whitman biography fixed; images added

 The  directors noticed that the link to Whitman's biography on the homepage was broken. I have fixed the problem. 

 Stefan also noticed that there were a number of missing images in some marginalia manuscript transcription files:

Matt Cohen's name added to FAQ page.

 Ken noticed that Matt Cohen's name hadn't been added to the listing of project directors in the first item on the site's FAQ page. I have added Matt's name and updated Ken's email address.

Image link fixed for "Manly Health" installment

 Stephanie Blalock noticed that there was a duplicate page image in the final installment of "Manly Health and Training"; in the issue of December 26, 1858, page 3 of the New York Atlas appeared twice and there was no view of page 4. I have corrected the error.

Image credit added to "Manly Health and Training" installments

 I noticed that only some of the installments of "Manly Health and Training" noted that our digital images came from the American Antiquarian Society. I have now credited the AAS in the metadata for all installments, found here.
