Deleted duplicate annotation from Reconstruction letter

Ed pointed out that there were duplicate annotations about the Roberts Brothers firm on the letter from Whitman to the Roberts Brothers of September 17, 1871.  I have deleted one of the annotations from the letter.

Images added to 1866 letter

We have obtained images for the letter from Walt Whitman to John Burroughs of September 10, 1866.  I have updated the transcription so that these images now display.

Completion of post-Reconstruction letter

We have located the other half of a letter from D. L. Proudfit to Walt Whitman of March 14, 1883. I have completed what was previously published as a partial transcription of this letter, by adding the missing (top) half.

Corrected spacing errors in Civil War correspondence

Ken pointed out three spacing errors in the annotations for the letters from Walt Whitman to William S. Davis of 1 October 1863 and from Walt Whitman to Louisa Van Velsor Whitman of 13 October 1863.  I have corrected these errors.

Correction to date metadata in per.00060

I have corrected the value of the date metadata in the TEI header for
per.00060, http://www.whitmanarchive.org/published/periodical/poems/per.00060,
which was being used to populate the data in the "Date" field. The
machine-readable version of the date was incorrect, leading
http://www.whitmanarchive.org/published/periodical/poems/per.00060 to
indicate in one place that the poem was published in 1885 and in
another place that it was published in 1841. The correct date for the
poem's appearance in the New World is November 20, 1841.

Thanks to Matt Cohen for pointing out this error.

Update to notebook display

I have updated the display of the notebooks on the Whitman Archive.  Changes include the following:

- updated metadata, including new "View XML" and "Cite this page" options

- improved display of authorial and editorial notes

- additional line breaks between sections in the notebooks

- gray background for sections that have been deleted with a hashmark or pasted over

- bracketed indications of when text has been cut away
